First Steps is a preschool ministry of Putnam Baptist Church that offers children a nurturing and “growing to know Christ” environment while their parents attend connection groups, worship services, and other activities.

Nursery Care

Sundays / 9:30am – 12:00pm in Preschool Dept.

Infants – up to 2 yrs.
Children are given a loving and safe environment to play in while their parents are in connection groups or celebration services.

Preschool Connection

Sundays / 9:30 -10:45am in Preschool Dept.

2yrs. – 4yrs.
During the preschool connection time, the preschoolers are taught lessons from God’s Word through songs, play, and crafts.

Wee Worship

Sundays / 11:00am -12:00pm

2yrs. – 4 yrs.
We take the lessons from Preschool Connection and apply it to the preschooler’s life during the WEE church hour. We expand on the lesson learned earlier in the morning with puppets, song and craft to show the preschooler how to apply what they learned about God to their everyday lives.

*Upon arrival each parent will be given a pager. This ensures that we are able
to contact you if your child has any problems during his/her stay with us.

Wednesday Childcare

Wednesdays / 6:30 – 8:00pm in Preschool Dept.

Infants – 2 yrs.
Secure care is provided for preschoolers while family members participate in other campus activities.

AWANA

Wednesdays / 6:30 – 8:00pm in Family Life Center

3 yrs. – 4 yrs.
Through AWANA, we are partnering with parents in building a spiritual foundation in their children through Bible Stories and the first steps of Bible verse memorization. For more information, click HERE.

Mother’s Morning Out

Mondays thru Thursdays / 9:00am – 1:00pm

Infants – Pre-Kindergarten
