John 4:23: …worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
It’s amazing! In Scripture we read about the great God of the Universe looking for something. He’s looking for those who will worship Him out of sincere and thankful hearts, lifting up praises to Him as only His redeemed children can. That’s what we hope to offer at Putnam. A place where we develop into a community of worshippers that see the Lord Jesus revealed in our praises. Because once we see Him, we can never be the same again. Come — now is the time to worship!

Upper Room Prayer Ministry
Join us for the most essential ministry of our church, or any church for that matter. Prayer is also the most exciting, as we seek the face of God for His will in the life and direction of our church. In the process of adoring Him, interceding for the salvation of the lost, and bringing other requests before His throne, we are deeply changed as well. Please consider our Prayer Room ministry, covering our services in prayer as they are in progress, as well as our “mountain moving” times of corporate prayer. “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” (Mark 11:17) Lord, may that be said of us!
Spirit & Truth Worship Team
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in the Choir Room
This exciting ministry welcomes people of all ages to make a “joyful noise unto the Lord”. Ongoing commitment to a close walk with Jesus and a lifestyle of worship is a prerequisite for all team members. Some musical background is helpful, but not mandatory. We minister in song 3 out of 4 Sundays per month during the choir season (August through May), along with occasional special services. We cover a wide variety of musical styles, with one unifying theme—Jesus! Come join one of the greatest “families” at Putnam.
This auditioned group helps to facilitate an atmosphere of worship at our weekly services through instrumental praise. An ability to read music is important, although not required. Positions are available for acoustic, lead and bass guitar, keyboard, drums and percussion.
This team consists of some of the finest servants around- handling everything from running an array of technical equipment to troubleshooting problems, to discovering ways to make our worship experience ever stronger. Current areas of ministry include managing the soundboard, supervising the lighting system, running slides for songs and sermons, operating the DV Camera, video editing, etc. Team members are available for scheduled weekly services, special productions and events of various kinds.
