Reaching the World

We believe Reaching the World involves both ministry and mission. Ministry is using our gifts and resources to serve in the Body. With a Church Family of over one thousand we have many needs and it is essential for the health of the Body for everyone to have a vibrant ministry in some area.

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them….” Romans 12:4-6a

We also believe each member should be involved in missions. Involvement may include praying, sending, and/or going. We have a Mission’s Committee that works with our pastors in planning mission opportunities for our members. Our current involvement includes Nepal, Romania, and Guatemala.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20

In our attempts to reach the world we also support the Southern Baptist Convention, through North American and International Missions, our local Baptist Association, Church Plants, Gideon’s International, Crisis Pregnancy Center, and those in crisis in our community.
